Junior Cotillion Class Dress Code:
Gentlemen: Jacket, dress pants, ironed, button-down shirt, tie (bow or neck), belt, short white gloves and dress shoes.
Ladies: Dress or skirt/blouse; white gloves and dress shoes you can dance in. Dress/skirt lengths should be as close to the knee (or below) as possible.
Grand Ball Attire:
The Grand Ball is a formal event. Gentlemen wear tuxes and cotillion white gloves.
Ladies: · Any color dress is fine. Strapless dresses are NOT allowed. A quick tip: you can often sew straps onto a strapless dress to give it more security. I always suggest having your daughter “dance” around the dressing room or house in her dress to be sure it’s comfortable and secure. The most important thing to me is that your daughter feels GOOD in her dress. She should feel like the young lady that she is!
· Shrugs or shoulder wraps may make a young lady feel more comfortable in her dress. Cotillion gloves are requried or matching color gloves of the dress are ok too.
· Backless, thigh-high slits, low-cut, or short-short dresses are NOT appropriate.
· As far as shoes go, please keep in mind that they need to wear them for several hours, therefore, I do not recommend a high heel, as they will NOT be allowed to take them off. Glitter sneakers, boots or other casual shoes are NOT appropriate.
