A proud alumna of the Junior Cotillion program herself, Missy Mae credits its life lessons with shaping her poise, professionalism, and personal confidence. She brings this same energy and conviction to her leadership of the Greater Dayton Chapter, where she’s excited to expand programming to include two class options for both Year 1 and Year 2 students.
For nearly two decades, Missy Mae has been deeply engaged in civic leadership, youth mentorship, and nonprofit service. She is a co-founder of 100+ Who Care of Warren County, generating significant philanthropic impact in the region. She serves as a trained mediator at the Dayton Mediation Center, a long-term care ombudsman for a Kettering nursing facility, and a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Montgomery County Juvenile Court, fiercely advocating for the well-being and safety of vulnerable children.
Her passion for mentorship shines through her coordination of the Kettering Rotary STRIVE program at Kettering Fairmont High School and her volunteer work as a "Big Sister" to a 7th-grade student at Kettering Middle School. As the Lead Co-Chair of the Kettering Mayor’s Party with a Purpose, she helped raise over $85,000 for Brigid’s Path, a local nonprofit serving newborns affected by addiction. She also champions Alzheimer’s awareness through her leadership on the Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee and as co-chair of the Reason to Hope Breakfast.
Missy Mae shares her experience and energy as a guest lecturer at the American Legion Buckeye Girls State, where she helps inspire the next generation of civic-minded young women.
Her leadership extends across multiple community boards, including the Dayton Mediation Center, Beavercreek Parks Foundation, Children’s Historical Publishing, City of Kettering’s Partners for Healthy Youth, Kettering Holiday at Home Board of Trustees, Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Miami Valley, Boys & Girls Club of Dayton, and Kettering Rotary. In 2022, she founded Community Insiders, a regional networking organization that unites over 100 local leaders, business sponsors, and nonprofits to foster collaboration and amplify community impact.
Her accomplishments have earned her widespread recognition, including being named one of WiBN’s "Top 25 Women to Watch", twice receiving "Ambassador of the Year" and "Volunteer of the Quarter" honors from the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, and her induction as a Lifetime Member of the Association of Ohio Commodores, an honor bestowed upon Ohio’s most distinguished community and economic development leaders.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Missy Mae leads a life filled with creativity and adventure. She finds joy in the company of her two beloved senior spaniels, Marley and Farley, and has recently taken up music—learning the piano, violin, and trumpet. An avid traveler, she recently returned from a trip to Finland and Sweden, where she was chased by a reindeer and went dog sledding in the Arctic Circle. Her upcoming travels will take her to Israel, Jordan, Germany, Iceland, and Italy. By the end of summer 2025, she also hopes to earn her private pilot’s license.
Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Counseling at Wake Forest University, focusing on Children’s Mental Health, further deepening her commitment to supporting and uplifting the next generation.
