The National League of Junior Cotillions doesn’t just teach etiquette and ballroom dancing. Through a program that builds self-confidence, character, and ethical behavior, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on young people and helping them become tomorrow’s leaders. You can expect your child to graduate from the National League of Junior Cotillions with poise, self-confidence, and the assurance of knowing the proper way to conduct oneself in different social situations. The cotillion curriculum helps students cultivate ethical qualities and develop positive peer relationships.

The program is for  Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grade students.

The social education components of the program include rules of proper telephone courtesy, acknowledgement of gifts, introductions, receiving lines, participating in group settings, polite conversation, paying and receiving compliments, sports etiquette, first impressions, dress code for all occasions, manners in home and in
public, table manners, formal place settings, styles of dining, skills involved in being a guest, hostess, or host, cell phone and social media etiquette, and many other areas of social behavior.
Other topics covered are the ethics involved in the areas of having honor, dignity, respect, fairness, a caring attitude, accountability, and citizenship.

Dance instruction includes steps in the  Cha Cha, Foxtrot, Shag/Swing and Waltz.
