About Director
Karrie Tilley is the Director of the National League of Junior Cotillions, Orange and Durham County Chapters. A North Carolina native, Karrie attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she earned both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Hospitality Management. Her professional background spans a wide range of industries, including roles with NASCAR, ESPN, and major global events such as the High Point Furniture Market, where she worked with the Promotional Division of Marilyn's Agency in Greensboro, North Carolina. She also spent seven years with the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Men’s Basketball Officiating and Operations Department.
Karrie and her husband, Josh, have been married since 2007 and live in Chapel Hill. Deeply rooted in her community, she has spent the past decade volunteering with organizations such as the Preschool at Chapel of the Cross, Scroggs Elementary School, St. Thomas More Catholic School, the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill, and the Chapel Hill Country Club, where she serves on the Board of Directors. At the Club, she leads the Pool Committee, serves as Co-Chair of the Social Committee, and is an active club ambassador. She is also the Co-Head Coach of the St. Thomas More Lady Knights Volleyball Team.
Her Cotillion journey began with her daughters, Maddie and McKenzie, who had the privilege of attending classes led by former Director Debbie Scully. As both a mom and an Advisory Board member under Debbie, Karrie quickly recognized the lifelong value of teaching young people social etiquette. She brings exceptional energy, leadership, and a deep passion for empowering students to build strong relationships and confidently navigate social situations in their futures.
