National League of Junior Cotillions
Roanoke Valley Chapter
About
Junior Cotillion is a robust organization that requires many people and resources to give our children the best experience possible encourage all family and friends to be pro-active with volunteering, so here are some ways you can help our children develop their social skills:
- practice at home
- offer to chaperone one of our events
Our young people are learning more than just how to dance... they learn to introduce themselves, and practice being "present in the moment."
Please send the students to Cotillion in their "Sunday best!" and have them leave their cell phones, airpods and smartwatches at home! We are COMPLETELY screen-free.
The Roanoke Valley Chapter of Junior Cotillion is an open, friendly, welcoming association.
In Season Two students attend our "Five Course Instructional Dinner" at the Shenandoah Club ... with butlered hors d'ouerves, a cup of soup, a fussy, frilly salad, a sorbet amuse bouche, and a roast chicken entree' . . . plus a delightful dessert course, of course! We practice passing dishes family style, and also become more comfortable with table-side service and fine dining.
