ABOUT PRE-COTILLION
The Pre-Cotillion program setting will encourage children to be comfortable together, make new friends, and enjoy themselves. Through role-playing, hands-on experience, and storytelling in a peer group, young ladies and gentlemen are expected to leave the program beginning with confidence and poise from knowing the proper thing to do. The NLJC Cotillion program is thoughtfully structured to support students over multiple years, allowing them to progressively build and refine their etiquette and social skills. As children advance through the program, they continually revisit and reinforce fundamental manners, while also being introduced to more sophisticated etiquette and social behaviors appropriate for their age. By the time they reach 6th grade, students transition into the Junior Cotillion program, where they receive formalized training in advanced etiquette and social conduct, preparing them for a lifetime of confident and polished interactions.

Junior Cotillion Year I
Welcome! All Applicants are placed on a waitlist once both Registration and Payment are received. Acceptance will be sent out on a first-come, first-serve basis on an equal gentlemen-lady ratio. The first acceptance notification announcements will be mailed out on May 15th. Registrations that take place after May 15th will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, with an equal boy-girl ratio based on availability. It is common for some students to remain on the waitlist until as late as August while we wait for the boy-girl ratio to balance.
Students are placed in classes with their schoolmates for the fall unless otherwise requested at the time of registration. If your child has a standing commitment at a certain time, it is important that we know that PRIOR to August 1st to affect their class time placement. If it is an occasional need to move class times, that is done by filling out a quick form.
Students are notified by mail on August 15th of their assigned class group time for the season. Classes do fill up fast. In 2022 we were full by May 1st, but we were able to open up two more classes on another day.
We look forward to seeing your child in the fall! Please share with your parent friends.
