Welcome to the Exciting World of Junior Cotillion!
Are you ready to embark on a journey of grace, poise, and social refinement? Look no further than our upcoming season's General Class Information. Here is what you can expect:
Dress to Impress: Our classes are dress-up affairs, where impeccable grooming sets the tone for success. From neatly combed hair to polished shoes, we believe in presenting our best selves.
Ladies should wear age-appropriate, knee length or longer Sunday dresses or skirts and low-heeled dress shoes are preferred (ballet flats are acceptable).
Gentlemen should wear long khaki pants, socks, dress shirt, tie and sport coats. Suits are fine.
We ask that Flip Flops and Tennis Shoes not be worn to class.
No gum chewing or cell phones allowed - let's focus on cultivating our skills with out distractions! If a student needs to make a call, they may use a chaperone, or the Director's phone.
Prompt Arrival: Students can be dropped off at our designated area. We start receiving students fifteen minutes early, ensuring smooth transition into class and timely commencement of our activities. It is not necessary to walk your student into class.
Attendance Matters: While attendance is crucial, we understand life happens. If your child needs to miss a class, encourage them to take responsibility by calling the Director. It's all part of their social training journey.
Chaperoning Opportunities: Parents, immerse yourself in the experience by chaperoning a class. Sign up for this rewarding role at our Parent Reception.
Student Booklets: Our instructional booklets are invaluable resources for students. Reviewing material and completing class homework is encouraged, forstering growth beyond the classroom. If your student has lost their booklet, there will be a $10.00 charge to purchase a new one. Please notify the Director in advance so that a new booklet can be provided to them.
Allergies Awareness: The director will not be held responsible with respect to accommodating food allergies. We prioritize the well-being of all our students and will provide refreshments that do not contain nuts, but we cannot guaranteed a "nut-free" environment. If your student has any foodborne allergies, please send an appropriate snack item in a designated/marked bag with their name on it for each class.
Grand Spring Ball: The highlight of our season is undoubtly the Grand Spring Ball - a celebration of elegance and refinement. This is a Semi-Formal/Black Tie Optional event.
Ladies' dress requirement: White, cream or light pastel dresses that are tea length (mid calf) or longer should be worn along with white gloves. We ask that your child not wear backless or strapless dresses. Your child will receive a pair of white gloves at their first class. Please note replacement gloves will cost $10/pair.
Gentlemens' dress requirement: Dark suits, or dark jacket with dark pants are acceptable with a white shirt and tie. Bow ties are also acceptable. Tuxes are optional.
Fresh flower corsages and boutonnieres are provided!
Invitations and RSVP notes are provided to the students and sent home after the 5th class. Students are required to write a formal RSVP. Instructions are provided in class and are also in the student booklets.
Parents are invited to join the festivities and capture unfogettable moments!
Writing Contest: Stimulate creativity and eloquence through our writing contests. From the Best Mannered Teacher Essay to the prestigious National Student Essay Contest, opportunites abound for recognition and scholarship awards. Information about these contests can be found in your student booklets.
