About
Welcome to the National League of Junior Cotillions Dothan Chapter. Thank you for visiting and considering us to give your child a life-changing experience for the 2025-2026 school year!
We are very passionate about the National League of Junior Cotillions because it is a nation-wide program with over 30 years' experience teaching children: dining etiquette, ethics, character education, everyday manners, and basic ballroom dancing.
Our mission is for our students to learn to treat others with dignity, honor, and respect for better relationships with family, friends, and associates.
Cotillion is offered to boys and girls in the 6th grade; it consists of five classes that meet once monthly, a five-course instructional dinner and a ball. The curriculum includes: proper handshakes, table manners, proper introductions, door/coat/car etiquette, when to rise, thank you notes, RSVP, corsages and boutonnieres, telephone and digital etiquette, how to ask and thank a partner for a dance, nametag etiquette, escort position, proper seating, basic ballroom dance and more. Young ladies and gentlemen will leave the program with the confidence and poise that comes from knowing the proper etiquette in any social situation. Tuition is $325.
