Junior Cotillion Year I Lake Lanier Island
This class is for first-year students. National League of Junior Cotillion is a three year curriculum designed to give young people instruction and practice in the courtesies that make life more pleasant for them and those around them. The first-year program places emphasis on etiquette, manners, and character education, as well as on dancing. The social and character education components of the program include rules of proper telephone courtesy, acknowledgments of gifts, introductions, receiving lines, participating in group settings, polite conversation, paying and receiving compliments, sports etiquette, first impressions, dress code for all occasions, manners in the home and in public places, table manners, formal place settings, skills involved in being a guest, hostess or host, and many other areas of social behavior. Other topics covered are the ethics involved in the areas of having honor, dignity, respect, honesty, fairness, a caring attitude, accountability, and citizenship.
Junior Cotillion Year II Lake Lanier Island
I am registering second-year students at this time. This class is developed for students who have completed year one. The class will be limited to 30 students, strictly 15 boys, and 15 girls. The program is much more intense, and the invitation is only extended to those who previously exhibited exemplary behavior in year one. The year two program goes deeper into etiquette, manners, character education, and dancing. We will be covering topics such as dressing for success, social networking, first impressions, and learning dining etiquette with a 2.5-hour, five-course instructional dinner at a fancy club or steakhouse. Other topics covered are the ethics involved in having honor, dignity, respect, honesty, fairness, a caring attitude, accountability, and citizenship. Also, there is a price increase (unfortunately venues and supplies have been affected by the current inflation) but also a sibling discount. I believe that fewer students will give my families what they want. I look forward to hosting this class and all we learn and do together. This is the link to register. https://nljc.com/n/index.php/chapters/lakelanier/chapter/registration/2024-2025. You will be notified if your child is accepted or waitlisted into the limited program. My prayer is that these second-year students stay with me through the full three-year program and become leaders in every endevour pursued.
