How do I register my child for an NLJC chapter?
Go to www.nljc.com/tampachapterand click on the Registration tab to complete an online registration form. The code word to proceed is tampa (lower case letters). You may also proceed to online payments via PayPal using the same code word, tampa. Alternatively, payments may be made via check payable to “NLJC-Tampa Chapter “ and mailed to: NLJC, Tampa Chapter at 4211 Carrollwood Village Drive, Tampa, FL 33618. A deposit of 50% of tuition is due at registration to hold a student’s spot in a class.

 

What is the curriculum?
The curriculum focuses on the following topics: civility, social skills, rules of etiquette, ethics and character training, fine dining skills and basic dance instruction.

 

What is the difference between the Year I Group and the Year II Group?
The Year I group is comprised of 6th graders, the Year II Group is comprised of a mix of 7/8th graders. Each group has 5 classes and 2 semi-formal balls each season. The Year II Group also has a five course Instructional Dinner as part of their curriculum. Year I Group tuition is $300, Year II Group tuition is $325.

 

If my child did not participate as a 6th grader in the Year I Group can they still join?
Yes, 7th and 8th graders will be placed in our Year II Group.

 

My child has no dance experience, will this be a problem?
Absolutely not. We do not expect the students to have prior dance experience.

 

Can parents attend classes?
Yes, we always have extra seats for parents who would like to sit in on a class. In addition, parents serve as official chaperones at every event. Please contact the Director for information.

 

What is the dress code?
Ladies:  A dress or skirt and blouse for classes and age appropriate party dresses for the semi-formal balls.

Gentlemen:  Shirt and tie with dress slacks or khakis for classes, jackets/blazers are optional. Shirt and tie with dress slacks or khakis with jacket /blazer for semi-formal balls.
