    I am delighted to welcome you to NLJC, where tradition, elegance, and personal growth come together. Our program is dedicated to nurturing the confidence, courtesy, and character of young individuals as they learn the art of social grace and respectful interation. 

    Whether you're joining us for the first time or returning to continue your journey, we are honored to be part of this special season in your life. Through a series of engaging events, dances, and etiquette instruction, students will gain timeless skills that will serve them for years to come.

What is Junior Cotillion?

The purpose of the Junior Cotillion program is to give young people instruction and practice in courtesies that make life more pleasant for them and those around them; to give them training in standard ballroom dancing; and provide opportunities to practice and enjoy these skills at memorable parties, complete with decorations, refreshments, favors, and prizes.

Who is eligible to participate?

The Junior Cotillion Program is designed for 5th- 8th grade students. 

Why does Junior Cotillion matter?

Junior Cotillion matters because it teaches timeless life skills that build confidence, respect, and social awareness in young people during some of their most formative years. In an increasingly digital and fast-paced world, cotillion offers a structured space to learn face-to-face communication, proper etiquette, and social grace skills. 

Beyond table manners and formal dances, cotillion instills values like kindness, poise, gratitude, and inclusion. It prepares students not just for special occasions, but for interviews, school events, professional environments, and everyday interactions. Cotillion equips young people to show up with confidence and treat others with dignity.

CLASS SIZES ARE LIMITED AND RESERVED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS!

To ensure a fun, engaging, and balanced experience for all students, our cotillion classes are carefully structured with an equal number of ladies and gentlemen. Because of this, space is limited and spots fill up quickly. If you are considering enrolling your child in this year's program, register your child early to guarantee their place in the class. 

About Director

    Hi, I'm Hayley Hinson, and I'm so excited to welcome you to our cotillion program! I've lived in this community my whole life and was once a student in this very program. Being part of it again feels like coming full circle, and I am so grateful to be able to give back to the community. 

    I live in Perry, I'm a Pharmacist, and I have a wonderful husband (Harry) and two amazing kids (Henley and Hayden) who keep life fun and full. 

    I believe that confidence, respect, and kindness never go out of style- just like a good Taylor Swift song! Whether you're stepping onto the dance floor or into a new social situation, I'm here to help you "shake it off" and grow with grace. We are going to have so much fun together and I can't wait to be part of your journey this season!
