Junior Cotillion Year I
Welcome to the Junior Cotillion program. The Junior Cotillion setting will encourage children to be comfortable together, make new friends, and enjoy themselves. After constant practice in a peer group, young ladies and gentlemen are expected to leave the program with the confidence and poise that comes from knowing proper etiquette in any social situation. Junior Cotillion also gives thorough training in standard ballroom dance steps using current popular music. We highly recommend that you register early, as classes are limited and are filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Junior Cotillion Premiere
The seventh-grade year is a very fun relaxed year with themed classes and advanced etiquette. The class is structured very differently than the first two years of Cotillion. It is treated as a fun social event instead of a class. By providing your child with structured and then less structured social events, they can grow in confidence when attending functions in the future. Guest teachers and speakers, which will be young and fun, will attend most classes to teach these modern lessons.
Country Club Etiquette
Students will learn dress codes and etiquette for the golf course and tennis counts. A casual buffet meal will be served.
Dress Codes and Interview Skills
Students will learn different dress codes for events. They will particiapte and receive feedback for mock interviews.
Hip Hop Dance Instruction
A high-energy lesson in modern dancing (hip hop) will be taught by TTU Dancers with Soul
Etiquette for fpr Friendships and Relationships with Personality Profiles
Students will learn their personality profile and and ways to communicate with different personalities.
Etiquette for Today
This is an important class to prepare students for our graduation presentation in which the students will be orchestrating this evening by tutoring their parents in dining skills and other etiquette topics. Review of the Foxtrot, Beach Shag and Cha Cha will be given to prepare them for the Winter Ball in January. A fun, hands on dining tutorial practicing the serving and eating of unusual foods as well as the art of tipping will also occur during this class.
Graduation Dinner and Presentation
A very special evening is planned for students and parents of the premier year of Junior Cotillion. Both parents and students will be entertained by a five-course dining tutorial instructed by the Cotillion students. Prior to the dining tutorial, students will be presented by their parents and recognized for their cotillion involvement. Photographs will be taken during the presentation of all family members present. This special evening will be informative to all, make lasting memories with your child, and will make all parents very proud of their child’s involvement with the Junior Cotillion.
