Junior Cotillion Year I
The Year 1 Cotillion for the National League of Junior Cotillion Program is an introductory experience designed to teach young students the fundamentals of social etiquette, manners, and ballroom dance. Participants are introduced to essential skills such as proper table manners, respectful communication, and the art of dancing, all while fostering confidence and poise in a formal setting. This program aims to lay the groundwork for future social interactions, ensuring that students develop the skills necessary to navigate various social situations with grace and self-assurance.
Junior Cotillion Year II
Year 2 of the National League of Junior Cotillion Program builds upon the foundational skills learned in Year 1, further refining students’ social etiquette and dance techniques. In this year, participants focus on advanced ballroom dance moves, formal introductions, and polite conversation, all while emphasizing leadership, respect, and responsibility in social settings. The curriculum also includes lessons on handling invitations, appropriate attire, and the importance of body language. Additionally, students are introduced to five-course dinner etiquette, learning the proper use of utensils, navigating multiple courses, and mastering the art of dining in a formal setting. Year 2 encourages students to practice these skills in more complex social scenarios, helping them gain greater confidence and poise as they prepare for more formal social events in the future.
Junior Cotillion Premiere
Year 3 of the National League of Junior Cotillion Program builds on the skills honed in the previous years, focusing on more advanced social etiquette, dance, and leadership. Students in Year 3 refine their ballroom dance techniques, learning more complex moves, and continue to practice formal introductions, respectful conversation, and graceful social interactions. A key addition in this year is the introduction of cultural outings, where students have the opportunity to engage in real-world experiences, such as attending formal events, theater performances, or cultural exhibitions. These outings serve to enhance students’ understanding of diverse social settings and encourage them to apply their etiquette and poise in a variety of environments. Year 3 helps students develop a deeper appreciation for cultural awareness and global manners, all while building confidence and sophistication for future social engagements.
