Junior Cotillion Year II DUAL ENROLLMENT - Season I & II

DUAL-ENROLLMENT - option offered to registratrants going into the 8th or 9th grades only

Eighth and Ninth grade students are given the option to join the Season I class or dual-enroll in Season I and II at the same time.  After completing the entire Season I and Season II Curriculum, they will move into Season III the following year.

Criteria for acceptance in dual-enrollment:

Our numbers must balance between ladies and gentlemen so we need the same number of dual-enrolled ladies as gentlemen.  If 8th or 9th grade boys register, and request dual-enrollment, they are placed on the dual-enrollment list and  he and the next lady on the wait list are accepted together and visa-versa.  A way around this is for the registrant to nominate an 8th of 9th grade boy corresponding registration.
Once the first criteria is satisfied,  dual-enrolled students find a student-sponsor to work with them and take them through the Season I challenge book and the Season I basic dance steps in foxtrot, waltz, cha-cha, and swing. They need to complete all the exercises and go through the basic dances.
Dual enrolled students attend Season I events through the Season I Holly Ball as Junior Assistants.  Junior Assistants are given a lanyard and come a little early to the event to meet with the senior and graduate assistants in the green room, Mezzanine, for instructions from the Event Manager.  Along with the first three Season I events they attend all Season II events as a regular studen and have the option to attend Season I's Dip into Dancing.
The schedule is below.  Season I schedule is followed by Season II and then Season III so you can see the progression of the curriculum.
