Junior Cotillion Year II Dual-enrolled

In Season I, we teach basic party courtesies.  We cover a great deal of material in Season I with the lion’s share of this material taught in the first two classes and the first themed ball. We repeat the lessons and introduce new days to apply them for the remainder of Season I.  In Season II, we build on the basics learned in Season I, and focus on character as fundamental to good etiquette and a life lived well.

Dual-enrolled students attend the first two classes and ball of Season I and II concurrently.  After this, they continue only with Season II events.  The Opening and Thanksgiving Dances are back-to-back so they need to bring a sandwich or a substantial snack and a drink to have between sessions. A graduate assistant is assigned as their host. The Themed Holiday Ball is a stand-alone event.

Cotillion Challenge Books are write-ups of what we teach in class followed by practice exercises.  Dual Enrolled Students are expected to complete the Season I Cotillion Challenge Book in addition to the Season II Cotillion Challenge Book.

It is recommended, dual-enrolled students familiarize themselves with the basic box and triple step before attending.  This is often done with a friend that has gone through Cotillion.
